Omega Air · IED series · electronic drain · intelligent control
An electronic drain measures the condensate level and opens the valve only when the vessel is full, so no compressed air is discharged with the condensate. That removes a loss which, with timer drains, runs into thousands of cubic metres a year.
Intelligent control. The drain is chosen according to the working pressure, the volume of condensate at that point and a material suited to the medium.
The models have fault indication, so a blockage or failure is noticed before water gets into the network. Replacing timer-controlled drains with electronic ones is one of the measures with the shortest payback in a compressed air system.
A drain is mandatory at every point where condensate separates — receiver, dryer, filters and the lowest points of the distribution system. Condensate from oil-lubricated compressors must pass through an oil separator before being discharged to the sewer.
