The CKL-IHP series are cyclone condensate separators for a working pressure of 100 / 250 / 420 bar. Water droplets are removed by centrifugal force, with no filter element — so there is no replacement cost and no rising pressure drop in service.
The series is intended for high working pressures, where condensate separation is made harder by the lower specific volume of the air. The housing and connections are sized to the pressure class.
An automatic drain that discharges the separated water from the system always goes with the separator — without it the water returns into the air stream.
Sizing follows the air flow rate and the working pressure. An oversized separator runs below its design velocity and loses efficiency, an undersized one increases the pressure drop in the line.
