The WOS CD series separates condensate into an oil phase and water by gravity, while the filter medium binds the remaining traces of oil before the water is discharged to the sewer.
WOS CD has an additional treatment stage for condensate with a higher oil or emulsion content — typically from older machines and from oils that emulsify more readily with water.
Sizing follows the daily volume of condensate: an oversized separator is an unnecessary cost, while an undersized one fails to achieve the required retention time and lets oil through above the permitted limit.
Replacing the filter medium is straightforward and is done according to the condition of the outlet water, with the periodic sampling required by regulations. Spent medium and separated oil are handed over to a licensed collector.
