An oil-free screw compressor produces air without oil mist because there is no lubrication in the compression chamber — the risk is removed at source.
Drying to the required dew point and filtration to the required class per ISO 8573 are planned together with the compressor.
On existing installations with lubricated machines, moving to an oil-free range is often a condition of production certification.
