Omega Air · NC-GEN · compact PSA generator
The NC-GEN is a compact PSA nitrogen generator — a carbon molecular sieve retains the oxygen and lets the nitrogen through, while alternating column operation provides a continuous flow of nitrogen. The solution is intended for smaller and medium consumption.
The generator is sized to the plant’s actual nitrogen consumption — production is most economical when the unit runs at or close to full consumption capacity.
The higher the purity specified, the more compressed air is used per cubic metre of nitrogen. Purity should therefore be set to the process’s actual requirement, not with a margin — the difference between 99.5% and 99.99% can mean twice the air consumption.
Air treatment is planned together with the generator: filtration and drying to suit the technology, as well as a nitrogen receiver to cover the process’s peak demand.
