The SF series works with variable speed control: the speed adjusts to the current consumption, so the machine produces exactly as much air as the plant uses.
Where consumption varies this removes the largest source of losses — idle running and cyclic starting. The pressure stays within a narrow band, which reduces consumption further.
Lowering the working pressure by 1 bar typically means about 7% less energy consumption, so stable pressure is not only a matter of air quality but of the electricity bill.
