A spring balancer takes the weight of the tool and holds it in the working area, so the operator does not carry the tool’s weight through the whole shift.
The force is adjusted to the tool’s weight; a correctly set balancer holds the tool in place without pulling up or down.
With a balancer the tool does not fall to the floor when released, removing the most common cause of damage.
