An automatic mechanical drain works with a float: as the condensate level rises the float opens the valve and the water is discharged with no electrical supply.
Stainless steel, 20 bar. The drain is chosen according to the working pressure, the volume of condensate at that point and a material suited to the medium.
With this type we recommend checking operation periodically, because a blocked or stuck drain lets water into the network and damages downstream pneumatics.
A drain is mandatory at every point where condensate separates — receiver, dryer, filters and the lowest points of the distribution system. Condensate from oil-lubricated compressors must pass through an oil separator before being discharged to the sewer.
