Plug and blanking cap from the Aignep 9000 series — closing off an unused port. As the nut is tightened the ring deforms and grips the tube, forming a compression seal.
The shape is chosen to suit the geometry of the installation: angled connectors save space next to the machine, T and Y allow branching with no additional parts, and reducers give a transition between different diameters.
A compression joint is the most secure of all types and withstands the highest working pressures, so it is used on installations subject to vibration and wherever a joint must stay sealed for years without attention.
